A rotary gripper for tubes? A first glance this detail of the picture reveals only half the truth. In fact it is the clamping unit which belongs to a high-tech robot in operation at HANSA-FLEX. The unit takes tubes with diameters of 6.00 to 18.00 millimetres from an automatic feeder system, bends them and places them on a conveyor belt. In the process, high-precision tube lines are created – fully automatically and in series production. Automated production with short set-up times enables on-schedule completion with 100% quality and a string increase in order volume. Take a look over the shoulder of our servo-electrically driven colleagues:
